Questions
What fish will I catch?

Please let us know if you are keen to target a specific species. Estuary fish species you might encounter are Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Fingermark, Bream, Grunter, Trevally, Tarpon and Estuary Cod.

Reef fish species you might encounter are Spanish Mackerel, Queenfish, Giant Trevally, Cobia, Golden Trevally, Tuna, Coral Trout, Nannygai, among many others.

Light tackle fishing could see you catch Black Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Wahoo or Dolphinfish.

Can I share the charter?

With a maximum of only 4 guests our fishing tours are private charter only and personalised to suit individual group requirements. Unfortunately we do not offer a per person share charter option, but why not bring a friend, partner or family member. They might surprise themselves and catch a fish or two!

Where are your fishing locations?

Sublime Sportfishing is based out of Port Douglas, approximately 45 minutes drive north of Cairns. We primarily fish the Port Douglas and Daintree region, including coastal and offshore islands, wrecks and reefs, but we are also available for multi-day or extended fishing packages across north Queensland.

Do I need any fishing experience?

We can tailor your day to suit you and your experience (or inexperience). We love to see people catch their first ever fish, or experienced anglers catch their dream target species.
