At Sublime Sportfishing Adventures we have the experience to take you out on a fun 1/2-day fishing charter for Barramundi on the Daintree River, light tackle reef fishing, right through to organising weeklong liveaboard heavy tackle charter chasing Giant Black Marlin on the Great Barrier Reef. Because we are a local family business we can also taylor a package that is custom designed to suit your particular requirements, just ask us and we'll work out a plan.
Damon's enthusiasm for charter fishing started when he began working as a deckhand on north Queensland sportfishing charter boats in the late 1990s and slowly developed his skills as an experienced deckhand on charter boats chasing giant Black Marlin on the Great Barrier Reef. In 2010 Damon acquired his Master V captain’s ticket and Marine Engine Drivers II certification and started driving sport and game fishing boats on the East Coast of Australia.

Galeforce are well renowned for their strength and stability as well as their great handling at sea and their incredibly soft ride. The boat cruises at 22 knots and can get you to your fishing spot quickly and comfortably.
Equipped with a large front deck casting platform (with safety rail) it is probably one of the ultimate all-round sport fishing boats. A built in esky helps keep your drinks and catch cold.
The boat is fitted with modern electronics - the Humminbird Solix sounder with side scan and GPS plotter and 80lb bow-mounted Minn Kota electric motor with “Spot lock” maximises your time in the fishing zone.
We are surveyed to carry 4 passengers and a guide, but we suggest for serious sportfishing no more than 3 passengers. All quality tackle supplied, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
Please note quality lures, rods and reels are supplied by Sublime Sportfishing on a ‘replacement cost if lost or broken’ basis, while hooks, bait and leader are available at no cost.
Suitable for a hardcore days’ sportfishing, or just a fun family day with complete beginners. Aspro’s sea keeping abilities are unmatched for its size. It is a quick and nimble boat on the fish and a very stable fishing platform, powered by twin 450hp Caterpillar engines she has a cruise speed of around 20 knots.
Aspro’s open bulkhead configuration means you’re never far from the fishing action and can watch the baits and the bites from the comfort of the couch.
Refitted in 2019 with a new interior and quality Simrad electronics, the boat has all the creature comforts; air-conditioning, water-maker, good refrigeration, roomy bunks, toilet and shower, and a neat, comfortable living area. It is the perfect vessel for day trips (up to 8 passengers), as well as multi-day liveaboard trips (for up to 4 passengers).
All quality tackle supplied and all trips are fully catered.
